Ikamet in Turkey 2026: What long-term guests should know before Kemer.
Many Living Club conversations begin with a simple question: How long can I stay? This article sorts out the official points that are important for Kemer guests. It does not replace legal advice.
Before making any booking for a long period of time, official sites, the relevant consulate, YIMER 157 or qualified legal advice should be checked. Erendiz can facilitate accommodation, orientation and language in everyday life; legal responsibility remains with the applicant.
If you want to stay longer than a normal short stay, you should do your calculations early, check official sources and not take any approval for granted.
- 90 Tage innerhalb von 180 Tagen sind die zentrale Kurzaufenthaltsgrenze
- e-Ikamet is the official entry point for residence applications
- Erendiz kann orientieren, aber keine Genehmigung versprechen
- Short stay
- Check 90/180 days
- Application
- Use e-Ikamet
- hotel
- only truthful confirmations
The most important basic rule: 90 days within 180 days
For German citizens, the short tourist stay in Turkey is tied to the 90/180 day logic. A longer stay therefore requires clear planning: entry date, days already used, return date, possible application and time buffer.
If you want to spend the winter in Kemer, you shouldn't just start calculating at the end of your stay.
Stay longer: e-Ikamet and appointment structure
The official address for residence applications is the Turkish Migration Administration's e-Ikamet system. Applications are started there, documents are prepared and appointments are organized for the responsible provincial administration.
An Ikamet is not a small form that you do casually on the last day. It is a government process with proof, address, insurance, financial plausibility and personal responsibility.
Accommodation and address: What Erendiz can do usefully
For a longer stay, accommodation becomes practically important. A hotel or living club concept can help: with clean booking, comprehensible time periods and truthful confirmation.
What Erendiz does not promise: fictitious documents, guarantee formulations, legal representation, hidden work permits or statements like “it always works”. The truth is: We can help sort things out and confirm what is really booked.
Work, helping and digital nomad: separate things clearly
Staying in Kemer is not automatically a work permit. Anyone who wants to work in Turkey must check this separately legally.
For some people, the Digital Nomad route can be a separate route. Whether this applies in individual cases must be checked currently and officially.
Costs, Fees and Overdrafts
The Migration Administration publishes fees; Specific amounts may vary depending on nationality, duration and type of application.
Overdrafts are not a planning tool. Anyone who notices that a stay is getting out of hand should seek official advice early on.
Clarify before long stay
- Wie viele 90/180-Tage sind schon verbraucht?
- Is there a clear period for Kemer?
- Which accommodation can be truthfully confirmed?
- Is work excluded or separately legally clarified?
- Have official sources been checked again shortly before the application is submitted?
